India Post Mail Motor Service Mumbai Vacancies 2026 – Selection Process

Candidates will be chosen for Skilled Artisan posts at Mail Motor Service Mumbai following the steps described below as per the official notification.

Step 1: Application Screening

Each application received will be screened for age limit, educational qualification, ITI certificate, experience and document completeness. Applications that do not meet eligibility standards will be rejected.

Step 2: Skill Test / Trade Test / Written Exam

Shortlisted candidates will be called for skill test or trade test to check practical knowledge in their respective trades. A written exam may also be conducted to test theoretical knowledge.

Step 3: Interview / Personal Discussion

Candidates who clear the skill test or written exam will be called for interview. The interview panel will assess technical knowledge, work experience and suitability for the post.

Step 4: Document Verification

Document verification will be carried out for candidates who are selected. Verification will include educational certificates, ITI certificates, experience certificates, caste certificates, and driving licences if applicable.

Step 5: Medical Examination

Final stage is medical fitness test. Only candidates found physically and mentally fit will receive the appointment letter.

Note: Only shortlisted candidates will receive call letter for exam/interview via registered post or email. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the test or interview.

5. – Experience Certificate 1 year work (for relevant posts)
6. – Driving Licence – Light or Heavy (for posts of Mechanic Motor Vehicle only)
7. – One recent passport size photo (pasted on the form) + one additional photo
8. – Indian Postal Order (IPO) of ₹500 (for General/OBC candidates only)
9. – One self-addressed envelope with your complete address
