Eligibility / Qualification
Senior Scientific Officer (DNA)
You need an M.Sc. with 1st Division, or a Ph.D., in Zoology, Physical Anthropology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or Forensic Science. An equivalent qualification in these subjects also counts. Zoology or Botany must have been one of your subjects at B.Sc. level, and the degree must be from a recognised University.
Senior Scientific Assistant (DNA)
Candidates with an M.Sc. (1st Division) or a Ph.D. in the same list of subjects can apply. Zoology or Botany at B.Sc. level is needed here too, along with a degree from a recognised University. Equivalent qualifications in those subjects are accepted.
Scientific Assistant (DNA)
This post asks for an M.Sc. with at least 2nd Division, in Zoology, Physical Anthropology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or Forensic Science. Equivalent qualifications are accepted. Zoology or Botany must be one of your B.Sc. subjects, and the university must be recognised.
Lab Attendant (Support Staff, DNA Division)
Matriculation (10th) pass from a recognised Board is enough. Having 10+2 with Science is preferred, but no specialised science degree is required.

- Candidates claiming reservation must submit a valid caste / category certificate issued by the competent authority of the State of Haryana; candidates belonging to reserved categories of other States shall be considered against the General category only.
- Engagement is purely on contract basis for a period of one year.
- Shortlisted candidates report at the Forensic Science Laboratory, Haryana, Madhuban, Karnal at 09:30 A.M. on the date of interview
- No Travelling Allowance or Dearness Allowance paid for attending the interview
Selection Process
There is no written exam for these posts. Your papers are screened first, a shortlist may be made from your marks, and then you face an interview. The steps are listed below.
- Screening on the basis of essential educational qualification and experience, followed by INTERVIEW before a Selection Committee constituted by the Director, FSL (Haryana). There shall be NO written examination.
- Merit for shortlisting: post-wise shortlist may be drawn up on the basis of the average of the percentage of marks obtained in 10+2, Bachelor’s and Master’s examinations.

How to Apply
Applications are offline, so nothing is filled in on a website. Print or copy the prescribed Annexure-I form, fill it in, sign it and paste your photo. Make a separate application with its own set of documents for each post you want. Check the address and envelope label below before you post it.
